Suds And Buds: Episode 24 – He’s An Alien!

Today, we’re back to just your co-hosts Brian and Mike with one big difference: NO HEADSET MICS! Since neither guy put together an outline for the show AND because there’s a complete lack of broadcast-style, head-worn sound reinforcement, Episode 24 proves to be the most conversational of all the Suds & Buds episodes. The guys even usher you behind the comedy curtain and reveal the kind of thoughts that rattle around in their near empty heads all day long… like how much Farmville and people who play it suck, why Joe Paterno *really* died, and why Mike shouldn’t enter any contests involving measurement and his “naughty bits”.

This show has more topics than any other episode… too many too list in fact. So, here’s a sampling of the riveting subject matter you will hear them discuss today:

1) Dirty secrets of the entertainment business… OR How anybody that can fog a mirror and write a big enough check can have access to any professional or celebrity in the entertainment business.

2) How Suds & Buds is *not* a “show”… OR How anyone expecting these guys and this program to look or sound anything like what the majority of humans would consider an acceptable representation of a broadcast presentation or “show” is an idiot and completely misses the point of podcasts and podcasters.

3) How Brian is an actually an alien… OR The evidence to support a hypothesis that one of the program’s co-hosts may actually be the cornerstone of an elaborate plan by an alien civilization to infiltrate the general populous of this planet, indoctrinate it with intentionally distorted information, and lay the ground work for a complete take-over of the Earth and its human inhabitants for the sole purpose of… well, THAT part we haven’t figured out yet… but give us time.

It’s Brian’s 40th birthday today! So, he celebrates it with Mike and three of his other good buddies as we tape another episode of the show. Today’s entire discussion centers around Brian’s surprise birthday party and the idea of getting older. Suds And Buds: Episode 22 – New Year, Light Beers

It’s the very first show of the New Year! So, Brian and Mike are going to help you find ways to lose weight AND drink good tasting beer. The guys also talk about their New Year’s resolutions… okay, let’s be honest. They start to talk about 2012 resolutions and then, it spirals into complete chaos.

Other topics include: 1) The top New Year’s resolutions that most people make, 2) What happens when Mike gets hammered on free microbrew beers, and 3) Mike’s treatise on the difference between “inner vagina” & “outer vagina” women… and something he calls “the bean”.

(We don’t think episode this would be an effective tool for teaching your kids about sex or how to lose weight in a healthy fashion, but it is good for a few chuckles.)

Today’s show is a showcase of three great tasting light beers that are very low in calories. These beers include: Amstel Light, Yuengling Light, and Sam Adams Light. Two of these beers are only 95 calories per serving while the other is still a great calorie saver at 119 calories for a cold 12 oz. bottle.

Merry Christmas, everybody! This week, Brian & Mike welcome Johnny Stephens (Brian’s Dad) to the show. Against his better judgement and the wishes of Brian’s Mom, Johnny sits with your hosts for an hour and dispenses sagely advice on topics ranging from shaving your scrotum to staying with the same woman for 43 years. (Not sure if those two things have *any* correlation at all? I guess you’ll just have to listen / watch to find out!)

Off camera, you will also get short cameos from Brian’s Mom and his 14 year old son, Bailey… both of these people were smart enough to stay hidden behind the camera for the duration of the show.
